Veterans Day Freebies 2016

 

Free food and drink

Applebee’s: Free meal on November 11. Choices include Butcher’s Meat and Potatoes, Oriental Chicken Salad, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Chicken Tenders Platter, Double Crunch Shrimp, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne or the American Standard All-In Burger. All current and former military personnel will also receive a $5 coupon that can be redeemed between November 12 and November 27, 2016.

Bob Evans: Free meal November 11. Choice of select lunch and dinner menu items, in addition to the following popular breakfast entrees (available all day): Stack of Hotcakes, Fresh Baked Brioche French Toast, Country Biscuit Breakfast, Mini Sampler Breakfast, Farmboy Sandwich or Country Fried Steak. Bob Evans is also offering a 10 percent discount to all veterans and active duty military from November 12 through December 31, 2016, for dine-in and carryout purchases.

Bonefish Grill: November 11, all active and retired service members with a valid military ID will receive a Complimentary Bang Bang Shrimp at all Bonefish Grill locations.

California Pizza Kitchen: Complimentary entree from a special Veterans Day Menu November 11. Pizza choices include: The Original BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian, Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage, Pepperoni, Five Cheese + Fresh Tomato and Untraditional Cheese. Salad choices include Thai Crunch, Chinese Chicken, The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped, Classic Caesar and Italian Chopped. Pasta selections include Garlic Cream Fettuccine with Chicken, Kung Pao Spaghetti with Chicken and Bolognese Spaghetti. Offer not valid in Guam, the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, airport, stadium, and university locations.

Chick-fil-A: All participating Chick-fil-A locations in the Charlotte metro area will offer veterans and active duty personnel a free chicken biscuit from opening until 10:30 a.m., or a free chicken sandwich from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on November 11.

Cracker Barrel: Veterans will receive a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert on November 11. Other guests can support Operation Homefront with the purchase of a Cracker Barrel rocking chair, or by making a $5 donation that will be matched by the restaurant.

Denny’s: Active, inactive and retired military personnel are invited to enjoy a free Build-Your-Own Grand Slam on November 11 from 5 a.m. to noon

Golden Corral: Military Appreciation Day is Monday, November 11th, 2016, from 5-9pm. Active military and veterans get dinner on the house.

IHOP: At participating restaurants, veterans and active-duty military can receive a free order of Red, White, and Blue pancakes with proof of service on November 11.

Hickory Tavern: 50% off all food and non-alcoholic beverages at all location for vets and military members November 11.

Hooters: On Friday, November 11, Hooters invites all veterans and active-duty military to enjoy a free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location nationwide. Proof of service is required.

JJ’s Red Hots: At both locations, veterans and active duty military can eat and drink anything they want on November 11. Single dog combo, double dog combo, sausage, sides, drinks, dessert. All FREE! No limitations. entire menu is available, except alcoholic beverages.

K&W Cafeteria: Free dinner for veterans and military members November 11 4 p.m. until closing. Entrée, two vegetables, bread and refillable beverage.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Free appetizer or desert for veteran or military member on November 11, plus 10% off for the whole table.

McCormick & Schmick’s: Free meal for veterans with proof of service. Sunday, November 6. In addition, Gold Star honorees (parents and spouses) also get the free meal.

McDonald’s: On November 11, All McDonald’s locations in the greater Charlotte area will offer veterans and active duty military personnel a free sandwich all day.

On the Border: November 11, veterans and active duty military members get a free “Create Your Own Combo” meal, which features soup or salad, tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, and other options.

Outback Steakhouse: Get a free Bloomin’ Onion and a Beverage by showing a valid military ID at participating restaurants on November 11. All “Military Mates,” including active or retired military members and their families, get 15% off their check from November 12 to December 31.

Red Lobster: Veterans and those currently serving in the military can choose a complimentary appetizer or dessert from a special list of 12 options, or a complimentary dessert from among five different options November 10-11, 2016.

Red Robin: Free Double Tavern Burger and Endless Steak Fries for veterans and military on November 11.

Ruby Tuesdays: Veterans and military service members get free appetizer, up to $10 value, on November 11.

Shoney’s: All veterans and active duty military get a free All American Burger on November 11.

TGI Fridays: Free lunch menu up to $12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. November 11 for veterans and military members.

Wedding gowns: Two local bridal shops are participating in Brides Across America, which provides free wedding gowns for military brides.

UFC Gym: Free access for military members on November 11, plus no enrollment fees.

Jiffy Lube: 50% off all services November 7-12 to veterans and active duty military, with this coupon. 20% off every day.

Veterans Day Parade and Celebration: Mooresville celebrates with a parade, ceremony, lunch and a concert on November 11. Follow the above link to see information on other Veterans Day events throughout the week.

Salute to Veterans Parade: Charlotte’s Veterans Day Parade is on Saturday, November 5.

Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville: Parade on November 11.  Meet in front of Town Hall at 9:45 a.m. for a parade and celebration. Special stories and patriotic crafts will be going on inside.

Museum of the Waxhaws: Free for veterans  Saturday, November 12. Special military activities that day.

Veterans Day event in Downtown Concord: Return of WWI Cannon to Union Street on November 11.
